Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Simple Software LLC, a Colorado limited liability company (“we,” “us”), handles information in connection with The Mortgage Stack (the “Service”).
The short version
The loan data you put into our tools never reaches us. The Mortgage Call Report and Verification of Employment tools run entirely in your web browser. Loan tapes, borrower information, employer details, and generated documents are processed on your device and are never uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored by us. We only handle the small amount of account information needed to log you in and manage your membership.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and the authentication identifiers used to sign you in (for example, via email magic link or Google sign-in).
- Membership status: whether your account has active access.
- Limited technical data: standard server and security logs (such as IP address and timestamps) generated when you use the site.
Information we do NOT collect
We do not collect, receive, or store the loan-level data, borrower or employer information, uploaded files, or documents you work with inside the tools. That processing happens locally in your browser.
How we use information
- To authenticate you and provide access to member tools;
- To operate, maintain, and secure the Service;
- To communicate with you about your account or the Service.
Service providers
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the Service. They process data only to provide their services to us:
- Supabase — authentication and database (your account email and membership status);
- Vercel — website hosting and security logs;
- Google — optional “Sign in with Google” authentication;
- Substack — newsletter and membership subscriptions (handled under Substack’s own privacy policy).
Cookies
We use cookies only for essential authentication and session management (to keep you signed in). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Data retention and security
We keep account information for as long as your account is active and as needed to operate the Service, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold.
Your choices
You may request access to or deletion of your account information by emailing us at the address below. You can manage or cancel your subscription through Substack.
No sale of personal information
We do not sell your personal information.
Children
The Service is intended for business and professional use by adults and is not directed to anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
